Dear Ron,
Thank you for supporting the AUHC - I hope you are planning on coming over!
Please send your club banner to our shop:
Fourintune Garage Inc
W63 N147 Washington Ave.
Cedarburg, WI  53012
Yes - those are the weird numbers and UPS needs them. If we could have the banner by May 6th that would be great! We will make sure it is hung and return it if there is not anyone from MI to send it back with. Please include a return address.
For details and updates, including driver profiles, go to the challenge website, www.auhc.net
I am attaching the hot off the press SVRA tentative race schedule - Healeys run with Group 3 (6 cylinders) and Group 1 (100s and sprites). My guess is that the 3+ and 3- is a split of a large group by horsepower. The SVRA web site may have more on this issue.
For questions about lodging, the Elkhart Chamber is a good source www.elkhartlake.com
There is also a new Baymont Hotel just off Hwy 57 near Plymouth that is about 10 minutes from the track.
I will let you know more details as I find them out - the WI club welcome party will be Friday after the sessions end. It is open to all Healey drivers, spouses, crew and club members. We are asking club members to bring  a bottle of wine or some beer to help with our beverage needs. We are still sorting the food details - hard to plan when you don't know how many will be there!
Thanks again for your support!

Subject: Fall Color Tour?

Hi There,
Forwarded messages from Rick Eisele.
************************************************
"Ok, this year I'm not doing a last minute, slap-it-together, color tour.  I'm looking for suggestions, ideas, good place(s) to stop, sources for prizes, and volunteers to put this together.  If I don't get any of the above then it will again be on the west side.  And if I want to get really nasty I can put together a Brian Thornton-like set of rally instructions.  Nobody wants to see that, do they?  Sorry, Brian.  I would like to do this either the first (1 or 2), second (8 or 9), or third (15 or 16) weekend in October.  I'm not sure if any of those dates conflict with anything else so I'm open to feedback.
Rick Eisele "
************************************************
My two pennies:   Pehaps we can put our collective heads together and turn this into and Annual Colour Tour Rally Event.  With Island Adventure now history consider this.  Just remember that the 25th Miami Valley Fall Round-Up is Sept 30th - Oct 1st When suggesting dates.  Not sure yet when the Southern Ontario Fall Wind-Up is scheduled.

1.  Friday Afternoon:  Meet at some nice inexpensive Motel.  Socialize, Funkhana, Healey Trivia Games.  night time Car Show etc:  you fill in the blanks.

2. Saturday Morning:  Head North, South, East or West on the First leg of a Fun Rally or TSD Rally which ever, until sometime in the afternoon.  Finish at another nice inexpensive Motel.  Do some of the things that we didn't get to on Friday.

3. Sunday Morning:  Head back to a central location on the Second leg of Fun Rally or TSD Rally ending at a nice Restaurant where we could present the Various awards for what ever is planned.  Eat, Drink and Make Merry.

Now there's a start at something.  Don't know how interested anyone is but it's something.  Perhaps even throw in a Swap Meet Saturday for those that don't want to do the Rally thing.

We could split up all the functions and have a great weekend.

Think about it.

Ron

Hey Rick and Ron,

I don't have a lot to offer, because I don't get to many events, but wife and I have been to both of the "Fall Color (Colour) Tours" of the last two years. I just loved the length of the drive, and the roads that Rick picked out. I think I've complimented you on this before.

I enjoy the driving and lack of stop signs and stop lights. The stop at the Apple Cider Mill was great, as well as the old car parts store over in Saline. I don't drink much, so I don't need to stop at a bar every 15 miles, but a stop every hour for a pee break and a stretch is probably good timing.

An easy to follow rally, spotting landmarks and signs is fun, and keeps my wife busy.
Multiple days could work, but it's tough to take a whole weekend sometimes, since we've usually got a lot going on. I like the Sunday format for the driving.

Picking a weekend that most folks can attend is just a crap shoot, just like the weather. So pick one that the organizers want and can attend themselves. Then let the chips fall where they may.

Hope it comes together for this Fall.... and hope we can attend.

Best Regards,
Bob + Ann Westenberg
